Parents in Touch

Dear [NAME]

After a busy time at home, it's time to turn attention to the new term at school. Terms 3 and 4 are busy ones academically, without all the interruptions that happen in summer and autumn. So - it's the perfect time to really build on learning and to support your child with the huge range of resources on Parents in Touch.

Maths The addition and subtraction paper is the first in a series, to help your child work progressively.
English Often, it's the first sentence or two which needs help, so here are some ideas.
Foundation Stage Children enjoy learning about colours and spotting the different colours all around.
Spelling and  Phonics Many of the sounds in the English language are complex, and the 'schwa' sound is one of these.
Science In year 7, pupils will still appreciate help with science homework.
  • Bug hunt This is fun to try on a mild winter day - it's surprising what's out and about!
  • Plant quiz Test your child's knowledge.
  • Characteristics of materials Materials are all around us and this will encourage children to notice them.
