Above is an illustration of the Six Areas of Learning which each FS topic may cover in school. There are many more like this shown below. This gives parents a guide as to how all the areas of the curriculum are covered under one theme. This usually means that all the staff in an Early Years setting are responsible for one aspect of the Six Areas. These may be useful for home educators or parents preparing their children for school. The topic 'My Dad is brilliant' was inspired when reading a bedtime story to my grandchild.
