KS1 English Many children at this stage in the year are enjoying the use of increased reading and writing vocabulary and are developing greater confidence in their own abilities. The papers below will reinforce this and help with their imagination and concentration.
KS2 English  It is important in Key stage 2 that pupils are encouraged to adopt a more mature attitude to English. This applies to creative work, grammar and the understanding of reading - which can all be enhanced by using extended vocabulary and correct grammar.

KS3 English Descriptive writing does improve by using a wide, varied and challenging vocabulary. It is useful to help them refine drafting skills and write with imagination and confidence.
KS1 maths Many children do find subtraction difficult so try the paper with them. You may find that you need to explain the method visually so that complete understanding is assured.
KS2 maths  At this stage of learning there are many more types of questions to be tackled. It is always useful to use some visual aids to ensure that complete understanding is achieved. Working together can be fun.
KS3 maths We have included a cross section of questions here to enable students to revise many aspects of the curriculum. This will enable them to reinforce their learning in preparation for examinations and tests next term
Foundation Stage  Children at this age love to draw and colour so encouraging them in this helps their preparation for Year 1. It is fun to explore shapes, numbers and reading with them.
Spelling Everyone needs to be accurate in their spelling. For some children this comes naturally but others may need help. Look at the High Frequency list and ensure that your child is familiar with them all.
Phonics Writing and spelling words is easier with the help of phonics. Look at the papers below together and check that your child understands the concepts included.
Science Science is intriguing and encourages pupils to learn about many aspects of the world around us. Have fun together exploring electricity, life cycles and growing.
Topics Use the topics below to discover how all aspects of our planet depend on each other. We all need water, trees and food to survive as well as learning from History.
Take a look at our super Giveaways for this month. Dennis the Menace is here with a fun-filled DVD. We have super sets of books - Miffy, Dinosaurus and Farm/Baby Animal Sticker Activities. For the young scientist, there is Gross Magic. Children and war is explored in Children Growing up with War. Agatha Parrot and Cosmic Colin are both great stories.
