Parents in Touch

Dear [NAME]
We have included some useful lesson plans and ideas about topics. These  may be used both in class groups and for homework. The maths, English and science papers cover various areas of the curriculum and are useful for revision and practice.

Look at the Giveaways below - some of these might be useful in your classroom.

 lesson plan
These ideas are sure to be useful. I know that children love the lesson plan on Gingerbread men, especially if you have some biscuits for the end of the lesson. Parents like having some holiday projects to do with their children.
 worksheet
Many children find charts difficult so it is good to work on these together to ensure complete understanding. It is essential to cover all the papers below as revision before any tests.
 worksheet
Revision using 'Different tenses KS2' and 'Different kinds of fiction KS3' is necessary before examinations. Younger children will increase vocabulary and learning with the animals and tortoise papers.
worksheet
The 'Fun paper...' is ideal to work through with a small group. Work with a small group through the other papers and discover where extra work is necessary.
 worksheet
Children enjoy learning through ideas such as animal sounds. Many pupils need ideas to help remember spellings. The 'Words with ip' paper can be used to increase vocabulary.
worksheet
Learning about recording is essential so that pupils can take notes accurately and quickly. Flooding is a threat in the UK from time to time so some understanding of it is important.
Take a look at our super Giveaways for this month. Our bumper prize is a superb selection of gaming equipment from Speedlink - this is not to be missed! We have Record Breaking Animals and Gods, Heroes and Monsters for those who enjoy non-fiction and two great stories in The Secret Island and The Dog with No Name.
