Teacher newsletter March 2016

Parents in Touch

Dear [NAME]

This newsletter is specifically designed to help you teachers. Revision work ideas include: 'Postcard writing KS2', 'Collecting things topic KS1' and 'Test your science KS1 no 1'. For holiday work you will find 'Holiday maths KS3' useful. We have also included two lesson plans.

lesson plan
Pupils usually like writing postcards and if you post them it makes the exercise more realistic. Try the Water lesson, PE lesson plans and word patterns plan.
'Real life problems KS2' and 'Holiday maths KS3' worksheets will be useful as holiday work. Pupils often need revision on Percentages and compass Bearings too.
The worksheets 'Reading and comparing poems' and 'Antonyms and synonyms KS1' will make good revision papers. Pupils love Collecting things so this will be a popular topic for the holiday.
Foundation Stage
Fantasy play increases vocabulary so this worksheet may be useful for group work. Good conversation work may be stimulated using '6 goals on the Hungry Caterpillar.'
Spelling and  Phonics
Many children find spellings difficult so try these worksheets to help them improve. Reading the spellings to individual groups helps pupils concentrate better.
Children love science so they will enjoy the 'Out and about KS2' worksheet. Use the 'Test your science KS1 no 1' worksheet to revise and reinforce learning.
Take a look at our super Giveaways for this month. We have a superb security camera to give you peace of mind at home and when away. Onto books and first - lots of excellent non-fiction books: Living Things and Their Habitats; Minibeast Adventures; Why Space Matters to Me and Little Guide to Science.
